To whom it may concern..
I found a link to the near real time XML feed to the Maryland State Highway Administrations Mesonet. The information is publicly available on the MD CHART website and even has access to it's entire observation archive since 2003. I live in MD and I have seen the sensors on the road. I believe they run Vaisala's Road Weather Information System (RWIS). I also noticed that they recently upgraded all their wind sensors to sonic anemometers.
My question is that is it possible to take this information and add it to your Mesonet placefile? I would love to see it added.

Thanks for passing this information along! What Im going to do is put this in our Feature Request area, and once the weather slows down this fall we will go through and add on any request we have received. So just keep an eye out for it over the next few months. Have a great weekend!
