Total lightning count

If the system can calculate the number of strikes in the placefile (since the placefile limits itself to X00 miles from the radar site, right?), could you then place the lightning count on a point maybe at a 5 pixel offset from the actual radar tower site. This would provide it a specific lat/lon that is already provided when the system generates the placefile in the first place. It wouldn't be "always visible" or anything, but at least it'd be associated with LAT/LOn and we'd always no to just hit the "zoom none" button to see it.
