Is there any way to display PDS Watch boxes with a different color than regular watch boxes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at one time didn't the SPC use magenta (#FF00FF) for the PDS boxes? It's been a while since I have seen one, though.

Tyler Allison I've never seen an official color code for PDS. Keep an eye out :)

Well I have not heard anything on this so far. I have been thinking about I may have seen that color associated with an outlook upgrade, maybe? Still it would be a way to tell the watches apart.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I have not received an answer to this question from the SPC. I have searched high and and low for a solution with no luck. Today I saw a dark orange being used for an Outlook upgrade made this morning. With that being said, I would say use whatever color you want to for that, or make it customizable for the enduser.

Abe Bush At one time, SPC used to use a much darker red for PDS Tornado watches, and a darker blue for PDS severe thunderstorm watches. Then, they changed the PDS watch boxes to a deep orange color, but they went back to the dark red. I think the PDS severe thunderstorm watches have always remained the same color...but those are even more rare than PDS tornado watches.
I know that StormLab has tornado watches/PDS tornado watches and Severe Thunderstorm watches/PDS severe thunderstorm watches separated, and you can color code the box colors however you want them, but that's built in to StormLAB though.

Corey Ecton The SPC used to use maroon for PDS Tornado and navy blue for the extremely rare PDS Severe Thunderstorm watches respectively. I'm also curious about possible integration into the feature list for AH. -

Abe Bush I think SPC has discontinued the use of a different color for PDS watches. They currently have several PDS tornado watches in effect, and they are now the same color red as regular plain tornado watches.

Jeff Lake According to my contact at the SPC,
There is no 'official' color spec for PDS non-PDS Convective Watches.
Now that being said, I will send Tyler the 'official' color/precedence list from NOAA
It does have different coloring for them
