In addition to faster refresh rates of the APRS tracking placefile, the ability to track "objects" via APRS has proven to be needed for my area. This is due to some folks who participate in storm spotting operations are using portable IRLP nodes that are displayed as objects on the APRS network. I am unable to track these "objects" with the current placefile setup.
