At the top of the RadarScope window is the Status Bar. The Status Bar displays the Radar Site call letters and location, the current mode the radar is in (precipitation mode means rain is falling within the Radar Site’s area, clear are mode means no precipitation is falling within the Radar Site’s area), the current time, and the time the radar image was last updated. If the radar image becomes “old”, the time the radar image was last updated will turn a red color.
Color Key Trick: one can rest their cursor over any part of a color key in RadarScope to have it instantly display the corresponding value in a floating box, such as in the case below where red corresponds to Hail/Rain.
